New Computers |
Used Computers |
| Cost Effectiveness |
New computers usually come packed with the latest technology
out on the market today. Like purchasing a new car, this new technology comes
with a high price tag because it's new. |
Used computers are simply pre-owned. They too can come fully
loaded with the latest technology but the price is reduced due to the fact that
it's a used computer. Some one just wanted to upgrade. Just because it's a used
computer, doesn't mean it's no good. |
| Value |
New computers come fresh out of the box with the new smell we
all love, clean of scratches or any signs of use. Most new systems come fully
packaged with an operating system and other various popular packages. Most of the
software on new computers are for a free trial period only. You still have to buy
it when the time is up. This means you will be spending more
money. |
Used computers come in many different forms. Some come in mint
condition with few scratches and others can come with some signs of use. Many
used computer systems only come with an operating system installed without any
recovery CD's but, Computer Aid provides you with recovery CD's with most all of
our used computers systems. We also do not use trial software. |
| Performance |
New computer performance can vary depending on the type of
computer you purchase. Generally speaking, most new computers come with the
latest technology and bug fixes. However, new computers have never been used or
properly burned in which could lead to malfunctions in hardware within the first
few months of using your computer. It is not all that rare and it does happen.
Then you have to call their tech support. We all know how that works out. They
will tell you it's not there problem and give you a number to call somewhere
else. |
New computers become used computers the instant they are
turned on. With this said, you could purchase a used computer that is only a few
months old which would put its performance at that of the new machines. The added
bonus is that used computers have been burned-in reducing that possibility of new
malfunctioning hardware. On the flip side a used computer can be over used and
burn out from user neglect. That's where our 100% testing comes in. And if after
you get it home and you do have a problem. YOU CALL ME! Not some foreign country
where you cannot understand them.. |
| Warranties/Technical Support |
Most new computers come with a lengthy warranty, phone
technical support(that you may not be able to understand), and in-house service.
Many times you can even extend the computers warranty to 5 years of support. How
happy you are with this warranty is dependant on the tech you get and the guide
he is reading from, and how many times you may have to call them to fix your
problem. |
With Computer Aids used computers you call us for your
technical support and in-house service. Although at times (depending how long you
have had it) there could be a charge, there also may not be a charge. Because of
our 100% testing policy on used computers, we don't often see problems after a
sell. But there is always a chance. And we know that. If that happens we do stand
behind our used computers. We have to. We want you to continue to use our
services. |
